Historical national monument in the heart of Rotterdam

Hulstkamp Gebouw Rotterdam

In a nutshell

Capacity50 - 400
Feelmodern, industrial

The Hulstkamp Gebouw Rotterdam is a multifunctional event location where MPS exclusively provides the catering. This historic listed building is located on the banks of the Maas river and is situated between the two famous bridges: the Erasmus bridge and the Koningshaven bridge.

The building has been renovated while preserving the authentic elements and rebuilt in such a way that it now functions as a multifunctional event location for various events. This multifunctionality is reflected in the various rooms in the building. These all have a different appearance. The Winter Garden is the main hall with its typical 18-metre-high tree. This is a chic high-end location with a modern touch. On either side, this hall is surrounded by the separate rooms called De Hef and De Zwaan. Further down the building are De Branderij and De Stokerij. These rooms are connected to each other and have an old industrial look due to the retention of the original steel constructions.

The building itself is characterised by its red bricks, decorated with white bands and ornaments. The Rotterdam architect Jacobus Pieter Stok designed it in 1888 in the Neo-Renaissance style. From 1919 to 1972, the building was a gin distillery, owned by the firm Hulstkamp. Later, in the 1980s, it housed the Marine Museum for a while. After that, the building was thoroughly renovated and transformed into an events location.
